Onboard Training : SeaTec's onboard training services are designed to assess the emergency preparedness of the crew. Training is carried out by Seatec's international team of superintendents who have a wealth of experience on all ship types. Condition Monitoring Training

Course Title:. Condition monitoring for marine engineers
Duration: 1 day (high level), 2 days (in depth)
Subject to a minimum of 10 delegates

Description: This is a hands on familiarisation training course in the most important condition monitoring techniques applicable to the Marine industry.

Vibration: Overall levels and frequency analysis as well as shock pulse measurments. The concepts will be illustrated with the equipment used on ships. Frequency analysis using Fast Fourier Transforms.

Thermal Imaging: Basic of Infrared thermal imaging. Hands on practical demonstration of important concepts. Pitfalls to watch out for. Analysis.

Passive Ultrasonic sensing device: Theory and practical applications of Ultrasonic sensing from gas leaks, machinery distress etc. Frequency selection for fault types. Analysis.

Acoustic emissions: Inter and Intra crystalline stress waves from metal or composite structures. Use of Acoustic emissions in machinery condition monitoring. Applications and case histories. Analysis.

Internal combustion engine performance analysis: Off-line and Live systems. Analysis.
